The baby teething process is a stage many parents wait anxiously for, but dread, when it comes to their newborn's development. Anywhere from the first few months of age through their first year, babies are often teething. Babies are believed to start teething when they start to drool. When it starts, they may show signs of teething discomfort where the tooth is coming in. The gums around the tooth may be swollen and tender. When that happens, you may introduce teething products. Teethers are toys that a baby can put into their mouth when new teeth are developing. They do get some comfort and relief by chewing on teethers as tender gums do feel better when light pressure is applied.
